http://www.eslkidslab.com/worksheets/set2/weatherworksheets/weathercross.pdf

The following vocabulary was discussed during he lesson:

General class:

I found a very useful exercise about the simple present on the website of englisch-hilfen.de. I’m not entirely sure what the url of the website is from which I took the exercise, but I have it on my laptop in an adobe document. I’ve added this handout below:

Advanced:

I found a very interesting exercise on http://wwwedu.ge.ch/cptic/prospective/projets/anglais/exercises/pv1.htm. In this exercise a sentence was given and a part of the sentence was written in capital letters. The students were asked to rephrase the part in capital letters. This was a very helpful exercise for vocabulary building as the students looked for synonyms or expressions with a similar meaning in order to say the same thing some what differently.
This exercise also contained some difficult words (e.g. abolish, surrender, yield) which needed some explanation.
What concerns vocabulary building, this was a very useful exercise.
